Sailor Moon Eternal anime’s official website revealed on Friday that Naomi Watanabe will voice the character Zirconia. It is a two-part Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal (Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The MOVIE) anime film project.
Watanabe is a die-hard Sailor Moon fan. She also commented in the announcement that it is the “light of her life.” She further said that she never ever thought that she would appear in Sailor Moon.
The website previously featured the film’s clip on Tuesday. They also invited viewers to guess who is voicing the character to win teaser posters.
Sailor Moon Eternal: Release Date
The first film as originally planned to premiere in Japan on September 11. The coronavirus pandemic postponed the film’s release to January 8, 2021. The second film will briefly follow the first and premiere on February 11, 2021.
The film’s new cast members are Shouta Aoi as Fish Eye, Satoshi Hino as Tiger’s Eye, and Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hawk’s Eye.

The Amazoness Quartet characters new cast members are Yuko Hara as JunJun, Reina Ueda as CereCere, Sumire Morohoshi as PallaPalla, and Rie Takahashi as VesVes.

The franchise has not screened any new work for past 2 years. This will the franchise’s first installment after such a long hiatus. Naoko Takeuchi is the manga’s original creator. Chiaki Kon will direct the two films. He also directed Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III.
Kazuko Tadano is the character designer. He also designed the original Sailor Moon anime’s characters. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is the main scriptwriter. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure TV anime is his well-known work. Toei Animation is the film’s distributor and co-producer alongside Studio DEEN.

The two-part film project is set on the Sailor Moon Crystal’s fourth season premise. The film will take forward Takeuchi’s original manga’s the “Dead Moon” arc.
