Sam Raimi, replacing Scott as directer for next Doctor Strange movie check for the whole news.

After the blast of infinity saga, Marvel Cinematic needed directors because of the departure of some. So, for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, Kevin Feige reached out Samuel M. Raimi, who is an American Filmmaker, star, and producer, who is known for his work ‘Evil Dead’ and in Spiderman trilogy where Kevin was the producer.

Sam Raimi will direct the next Doctor Strange movie.

He replaced, Scott Derrickson, who worked in ‘Doctor Strange’ as a director, but Scott will be an executive producer for DS2 for which production is expected to start in May.

As in the Superhero genre, Raimi has a good experience, for portraying villains like Norman Osborn/ Green Goblin or Otto Octavious/ Doctor Octopus. From which Spiderman 2 is considered to be one of the best influential superhero movies of all time.

Raimi has also worked in trilogy of Spiderman, as a director.

Not only Superhero genre, but he has also directed movies like ‘Drag Me to Hell and Oz the Great and Powerful‘ too. And as a producer, he helped franchisee like ‘Poltergeist’. In total, he had his name in 15 different movies as a director.

As in DS2, we could see Raimi’s distinct visual style, Benedict Cumberbatch, returning as Sorcerer Supreme with his fellow Sorcerer Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor would be reprised to their roles after 2016, where we can also expect Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch aka Wanda Maximoff.

The movie is scheduled for May 7, 2021. After ‘Black Widow’, which would be out on May 1, followed by ‘Eternals’, ‘Shang-Chi and Legend of the rings’ On Nov 6, Feb 12, 2020, respectively.

As rumors Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness will be on the darker side somewhat not a horror genre, Raimi was the right choice because of his experience in ‘Evil Dead’.
