Samuel L. Jackson will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to portray the role of Nick Fury again in a Nick Fury TV series that will be premiered on the online streaming service providing platform, Disney Plus. The actor made its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the now-famous post-credits scene of Iron Man, eventually becoming a franchise lynchpin throughout the entire Infinity Saga.
Samuel has reprised his role a number of times over the past decade, and he became a favourite character of the fans in the process. He made his appearance in all the three Marvel Cinematic Universe movies from the year 2019, including a key supporting role in the Captain Marvel movie. The movie gave the details of the character of the Nick Fury days before the initiatives of the Avengers.
The last appearance of Fury was in the Spiderman movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, where it was revealed that he had asked Talos with impersonating him while he takes a much-needed break and is relaxing on a Skrull spaceship.
Since then, there has been a very little word on what the future holds of Fury as the MCU prepares to enter the Phase 4 and beyond, but we are sure that the character is going to be a major part of the franchise moving forward for sure. Also, it has been recently revealed that he is the latest MCU figure to become the subject of a television show.
Samuel L. Jackson Returns To MCU
Jackson is going to deadline a television show focussed on Nick Fury that will be premiered on the online streaming service providing platform, Disney Plus. Kyle Bradstreet will be writing and executively producing the series, which does not have a start date of production or a release date at this point in time.
The details regarding the plot of the upcoming television series is not known as of now, but it would not be surprising to see the show deal of Nick Fury with SWORD in some capacity. SWORD was initially teased in the stinger of aforementioned Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the organisation is going to have a presence in WandaVision, which is going to be premiered on Disney Plus in this year. Marvel has a full slate of Phase 4 movies on the way, but Disney+ is going to be an integral platform for the franchise moving forward.
