Details of the role Speedman will play
As per the announcement, the actor will play Matthew, “a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He’s reserved, mysterious, and has a tendency to be withdrawn, all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath.”
We already know that based on the plot of the previous two seasons, there is no doubt the character fits right in. Netflix has still maintained the mystery of how Matthew will be related to the protagonists or not related at all!! Fans of the actor pray that he comes alive out of this season.
More new characters??
The show will welcome another fine actor, Shalita Grant as Sherry, a “mom-fluencer” who appears to be sweet as sugar and extremely humble, but a meanie who pretends a lot.
There is a high possibility that Scott’ character will come across new guy Cary (played by Van Winkle), another affluent persona who tries to slip Joe (Pen Bagley) into his inner community.
Who is Scott Speedman?
Speedman is an alum of the Animal Kingdom. He recently wrapped the production of Lina Roessler’s directorial debut Best Sellers. Aubrey Plaza and Michael Caine will join him along for the project. The film depicts Anthony Grieco’s original screen[play, which won the 2015 Nicoll Fellowship. Other works of Speedman include SXSW’s Run This Town opposite Ben Platt and Damian Lewis. The actor is widely known for his role as Ben Covington on the show Felicity. He played Barry Bax Blackwell in TNT’s Animal Kingdom.
Flashback on season 2 of You
The previous installment was nothing less than a roller coaster ride, and the climax brought the fans to the edge of their seat when they saw Joe Goldberg is moving to the suburbs with his love interest that is pregnant!! Badgley explained in one of his interviews, “They’re not soulmates. He’s afraid of her at the end. Basically, it’s a set up for Season 3 in a way where they would be each other’s arch-nemesis.”
