Space Force will be getting a second season on the online streaming service providing platform, Netflix. In the month of November of this year, the streaming giant finally gave the official nod to a second season despite it being well known that it has been in the active stages of development since the month of July of this year.
Despite the renewal of the series for the second season, the show could be on thin ice. In this article, we are going to discuss everything that is known so far related to the show.
The first season of the show was released on the streaming giant on May 28, 2020, and it coincided roughly with the NASA/SpaceX launch happening over the same weekend. It featured a huge array of stars, including Ben Schwartz, John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Lisa Kudrow. Steve Carrell and Jimmy O. Yang.

Space Force Season 2 Officially Renewed: What’s Coming To The Table This Time?
Back in the month of July of this year, we had learned that the streaming giant has renewed Space Force for the second season and was in active stages of development. The news came from the same source that helped all of us break the news that Ozark was renewed before it was even officially announced by the streaming giant, amongst other series.
It was not until the month of November of the year 2020 when it was finally announced by The Hollywood Reporter of Netflix that the second season was a go, but there were some of the glaring reasons to be skeptical of the future of the show beyond the second season.
Despite the early indications that this series was a misfire, plenty of the subscribers tuned in to watch the series, 40 million subscribers in fact tuned in to watch the first season in the first 28 days of release.
However, the audiences have defied the warnings of critics with much more favorable scores. On RottenTomatoes, the audience score is 74% as of May 31, as opposed to the score of critic of 39%.
Metacritic scores the series at a 47, whereas the IMDb users have the series pegged at 6.9. As we have mentioned, there is plenty of criticism for the series, and rightly so. Alongside the renewal of the series, we learned of the several changes that could be early signals that it is the last chance to get it right for Space Force on Netflix.
