The creator of Russian Doll, Leslye Headland, has teased recently when her female-centric Star Wars series for the online streaming service providing platform of Disney, Disney Plus, will be set in the timeline of the franchise.
Lucasfilm began to increase their plans for the Dinsey plus Star Wars shows following the launch of the first season of The Mandalorian last year. For some time, the only shows that are confirmed were those shows starring Obi-Wan Kenobi of Ewan McGregor and Cassian Andor of Diego Luna.
Also, we would like to tell you that there have been constant rumors about other projects that could be in the works, though, including a possible spinoff from The Mandalorian, a Boba Fett one.
Although most of the rumored star wars Disney plus shows remain just that, Lucasfilm did confirm the addition of one more in this year. It was previously reported that Leslye Headland, the Russian Doll creator, was developing a Star Wars show centered on females.
The addition of Headland to the galaxy far, far away a few months later, was confirmed by Lucasfilm, but the announcement did not come with any official details about the story or setting.
Star Wars: New TV Show Will Have Interesting Locations And New Timelines
Headland teased when the mysterious Star Wars series is set in a new interview in some of her first public comments about the show. She spoke to Fantastic Frankey about the upcoming series, which she is going to write, produce, and run, and confirmed that it would be taking place at a point in time that has not been thoroughly explored.
It was stated that it was set “in a different part of the Star Wars timeline than other projects, when the reports of the Star Wars series of Headland first surfaced. The new comments of Headland effectively confirm that this report is accurate, even though she stopped short of revealing when it does take place in the timeline.
Since there is not any timeline or this project, it is going to be impossible to know when more information on it will be surfaced or when the set will be confirmed.
The decision by Headland and Lucasfilm to place the upcoming Star Wars series in a pocket of the timeline that hasn’t been overly explored is the smart move. So far, all of the Disney+ shows are set around the original trilogy of films, but there are thousands of years worth of stories to tell.
