He also founded the Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Pictures, where he worked as a producer of films like Man in Black, Back to the Future, and the Transformers series.

Recently, Steven Spielberg signs a contract with the makers of the Television Series ‘Smash’. This is an American musical drama Television series, directed by Theresa Rebeck, and was produce by Jordan Nardino and Jim Chory.

The series already have two seasons. The first season was released in February-May 2012, and has 15 episodes. The second series was released in February-May 2013, and this season has 17 episodes.

They could interest an ace filmmaker with an adaptation. So, they pick Steven Spielberg for directing the third season of the film and bring it to Broadway in the form of a show.

There are WarnerMedia Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt, and ‘Chicago’ producer Neil Meron onboard with Steven. Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, penned over many songs for the show to score for the Broadway show.

Plot of Steven Spielberg’s show

The show will follow the same story, the efforts to ascend ‘Bombshell,’ and it will show the life of Marilyn Monroe. According to the rumors, the plot of the show will also diverge from the story of the series.

Steven Spielberg said in a statement that, he is very thrilled to be the part of this musical and it’s way to Broadway. He mentioned that the series ‘Smash’ is soo close to his heart.
