Succession Season 3: Everything You Need To Know On Development And Release

We have probably still got a bit of a wait, as filming of Succession Season 3 is even taking place. Initially, prior to Covid, the plans were to start shooting in April, but then obviously, things went a bit awry.

The show’s creator, Jesse Armstrong, said that it hadn’t been that fruitful for him despite all the downtime of the year. He said that “We are letting the work expand well to fill the acres of time we have suddenly found.

I am probably making no more progress than if I would have six weeks instead of the six months that we’ve had”. Don’t beat yourself up, Jesse. It was an achievement for all of us if we even made it up from the sofa to even make a sandwich for lunch, honestly.

Depending on how the filming goes, we predict season 3 might be ready to air around late spring/early summer 2021.

What a cliffhanger to leave us all on for OVER A YEAR. To get you up to the speed: Waystar Royco was publicly going down, thanks to the dodgy dealings over at the theme park of Tom and cruise department, and Logan (Brian Cox) wanted a blood sacrifice.

His choice? Meat puppet Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) but then Shiv begged Logan to save her husband.

He then moves on to Kendall, who owed him his literal life after daddy managed to make the whole accidentally-murdering-a-bartender thing go away.

His dad goaded kendall that he did not have any killer instinct, then it was pushed into a press conference.

Just as we all thought for a moment that he was going to roll over for Logan, he dropped a bomb. Branding his father, a bully, a malignant presence, and a liar.

We then saw Cousin Greg on the sidelines, clutching those incriminating e-mails that he swore he had burned with Tom. He is the outside contender for the eponymous succession, in our eyes.

You might have missed a couple of beats in the finale of the second season. Logan smiling when Kendall made his mic-drop announcement, which seems to suggest that the patriarch finally realized Kenny was as vindictive as he needed to be as a CEO and the rightful heir to the company? Most importantly, what is his retaliation going to be?

Secondly, still shocked from being held hostage in the Middle East, Roman was casually announced as the COO of the company.
