Surviving Jeffrey Epstein: Trailer Reveals New Insights!

Lifetime released a new trailer of a documentary based on Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffery Epstein is a convicted sex offender. He dies last year in custody after being hit with additional sex trafficking charges. The investigative documentary “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” is all set to air on August 9 and 10.

The trailer shows the footage of eight survivors. They said Epstein touched them “aggressively” in their teenage years. This woman represents “thousands of [sexual abuse] survivors”.

“Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” is following the footsteps of “Surviving R. Kelly” and “Surviving R. Kelly II: The Reckoning”. The investigative documentary scrutinizes the charges of sexually abused young girls against the New York financier. It also features first-hand accounts and insights from those who have spent time with him.

This new project is part of Lifetime’s new initiative, namely “Stop Violence Against Women” which aims to empower women across the globe. Lifetime has partnered up with nonprofit Rise. The partnership aims to encourage survivors to use their voice to help establish a survivors’ bill of rights in their states. The network will also run a PSA from nonprofit RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) to provide resources and a hotline for those in need.

Epstein was first arrested in 2008 in Palm Beach, Fla. 36 girls, some as young as 14 pressed charges against Epstein for sexually abusing them. Federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York were pressed against him. Following his conviction, he spent time in jail in July 2019. Epstein later died in his jail cell on Aug. 20, 2019. The judge ruled his death as ‘suicide’ on Aug. 29, 2019.

Annie Sundberg and Ricki Stern directed “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein”. Lifetime’s Shura Davison and Gena McCarthy executive produced has also joined the team. Robert Friedman’s Bungalow Media + Entertainment will produce the documentary.

This documentary not only reveals what happened but also encourages women to speak up about the horrible incidents. This will help bring predators to justice.
