If you have recently started attending spiritual healing sessions, sporting mismatched earrings, or taking your calls on a Claudia Kishi-approved Etsy landline, then we must inform you that you might have Baby-Sitters Club syndrome. The problem is, there are only so many times you can watch the same ten episodes of the Stoneybrook crew and their adventures. The second season of good news of The Baby-Sitters Club is officially confirmed. Here is everything we know about what’s next.
The Baby-Sitters Season 2 Officially Confirmed | Know Everything
The Netflix Australia and New Zealand Twitter account confirmed BSC would return for the second season on October 28. The video announcement featured the stars of the show, Malia Baker (Mary Anne), Momona Tamada (Claudia), Xochitl Gomez (Dawn), Jessi (Anais Lee), Vivian Watson (Mallory), Shay Rudolph (Stacey), and Sophie Grace (Kristy), lip-syncing to the theme song from the original HBO series, which aired in the year 1990.
The online streaming service providing platform, Netflix confirms the new season of the show will premiere in 2021.
When the series first premiered on the streaming giant, BSC creator Rachel Shukert took to Twitter to announce that Jessi Ramsey, a favorite character from the books, would be “a big part of season 2,” despite her relatively small presence in the first season.
She also revealed her hopes for the season. When asked what storylines she is most eager to tackle next, she replied that there are so many she loves how Kristy evolves in her new family. She always has really loved Mary Anne and Dawn, as their parents get closer, how that kind of change their relationship.
Several members of the cast have spoken out about their hopes for the second season, given the more than 200 books they can draw ideas from.
Shay Rudolph, who plays Stacey, said that she hopes Stacey does not move back to New York City, as she does in the books. She said that she wants to stay with the other BSC girls and have fun babysitting adventures. Sophie Grace, who plays Kristy, added that she hopes Kristy coaches Kristy’s Krushers, the softball team she leads in the books.
