The movie’s ending left many people perplexed and wondering what it actually meant. The Call was released on November 27 at 1:30 pm according to Indian time. The Call 2020 ending explained
We saw the protagonist Seo Yeon mourning by her mother’s grave in the future in the ending of the movie. Astonishingly, when she turns back she realises that her mother is alive. The last scene then portrays her and her mother walking away, puzzles the viewers about the back story. They believe it is that either Seo Yeon didn’t actually die after the fall or there was some other connection to this ending. The post-credits of the film create some more doubts in the user’s minds.
What Really Happened In The End?
The post-credits of The Call hint that Young Sook didn’t actually die after she fell from a great height. What happened was that Sook had called her future self to guide her past version to avoid her own death. When Seo Yeon’s mother throws Young Sook, she doesn’t actually die. We can observe her opening her eyes when she was lying in the pool of blood which confirms the above theory.
When Young Sook opens her eyes and finds Seo Yeon walking with her mother from the graveyard disappearing, it could point out that Young sook may have succeeded in saving her past self which thus creates an alternative timeline, where Seo Yeon is seen losing her mother. There is also a possibility that Seo Yeon and her mother may have escaped and the other possible ending indicates that as Young Sook was survived the fall, she may have killed Seo Yeon’s mother and that’s why she is seen disappearing while she is walking with Seo Yeon.
Some Twitter viewers commented that the ending was probably meant to set up a sequel for the film.
