The fans of the series as for now, can only hope that the series will have a conclusive family with an abrupt cancellation from the online streaming service providing platform, Netflix. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is heavily based on the Archie Comic of the same name. It was supposed to be continuing for at least five seasons until it made the much-anticipated crossover with The CW’s Riverdale, its sister series.
However, the streaming giant made an announcement that Sabrina will instead be ending with its upcoming eight-episode Season 4. Also, we would like to inform you that its comic book source material has yet to receive an ending; the second volume of the book now about five years overdue.
The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina | How It Should End?
The cancellation of the series could not come at a worse time for the Spellman family and Sabrina. The third season of the series concluded with the teenage witch crowned the Queen of Hell, with a copy of herself created from a time loop continues her mortal life in Greendale.
Well, the academy of the unseen arts has never been more vulnerable, and Greendale is never more threatened by the vengeful Father Blackwood. The finale scene showed Agatha, Blackwood, and the twins, Judas and Judith, releasing the Eldritch Terror from within the Time Egg, heralding the doom for Greendale and the world.
Even before the announcement of the cancellation, the showrunner, Aguirre-Sacasa, shared some of what has to come in the fourth season. Calling this a demonic version of The Crown, power dynamics in the Hell have shifted, and there would surely be a battle of wits between Madam Satan, Lucifer, and Sabrina, while the latter faces some repercussions for releasing an alternate version of herself into the world.
According to Aguirre-Sacasa, they had even planned on following both Sabrinas for a long period and eventually introduce her half-brother. The war between the good and the evil will finally come to a head as the town becomes the setting for a great war. Aguirre-Sacasa said that one of their favorite horror writers is H.P. Lovecraft, and there is a definite H.P. Lovecraft vibe to the fourth part.
To bring The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to an end without leaving too many loose ends, the creators of the series must conclude many love triangles of Sabrina.
