The Crown is a big-budget historical web series that revolves around the life of Queen Elizabeth II. The series has played a considerable role in boosting the streaming platform’s reputation. The first four seasons of the series are out. Claire Foy did a spectacular job as Queen Elizabeth II in the first two seasons, and for that, she even won both a Golden Globe and an Emmy.
Now, season five is going to come soon. Well, fans are confused about whether the fifth season of the show is going to be last or not as The show’s creator Peter Morgan announced on 31 January 2020 that season 5 is going to be the final season of the show. But luckily, Peter Morgan recently announced that there is going to be a sixth season of The Crown as well.
Peter Morgan changed his mind and announced that the show would run for six seasons. He said in a statement, “As we started to discuss the storyline for Series 5, it soon became clear that in order to do justice to the richness and complexity of the story, we should go back to the original plan and do six seasons. To be clear, Series 6 will not bring us any closer to present-day — it will simply enable us to cover the same period in greater detail.”
Before six months, Netflix announced that the series The Crown will come to an end with season 5. Netflix also took to Twitter to announce the good news to the fans. Have a look at the tweet.
