The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was expected to kick off Marvel Studios’big TV Universe in August this year on the online streaming platform, Disney Plus. The debut of the show has now been officially delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
This delay in the debut is a result of the production been halted in May because of the coronavirus pandemic. This fact has been confirmed by The Verge. As of now, there is no update regarding the new premiere date of the show, but we can hope that some updates will be shared soon officially.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was supposed to pick up from where the Avengers: Endgame left us. Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, has seemingly retired after living a different life in the alternate timeline. We witnessed in Avengers: Endgame, that Sam Wilson, The Falcon picked up Captain America’s Shield and will be taking his place.
Do we have a trailer or The Falcon and The Winter Soldier?
Till now, no official trailer has been released by the makers, but a brief debut teaser of the show was released in February during the Super Bowl by Disney.
The trailer showed us, Sam, practising with the Shield along with giving us the first looks at the two other Disney Plus series, Loki, and WandaVision by Marvel Studios.
The teaser also gave us a glimpse of Bucky Barnes reuniting with Zemo, the character that made its first appearance back in 2016 in Captain America: Civil War.
With the already delayed Black Widow and The Eternals by Marvel Studios, fans will be getting another blow as they will not be getting TV shows as well.
Black Widow’s theatrical release has been shifted from May 1 to November 6, while the release date of The Eternals has been shifted from November 6 to February 12, 2021.
