‘The Kissing Booth 2’ is an American teen romantic movie directed by Vince Marcello. It is based on the novel ‘The Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance’ by Beth Reekles. Read on to know more details about this sequel. Spoilers Ahead!
Elle Evans played by Joel King just experiences the most romantic summer of her life with her boyfriend Noah. But, unfortunately, Noah headed to Harvard and Elle returns back to high school for her senior year. She has to maintain a long-distance relationship with Noah. Also, things get exciting when a new charming boy named Marco joins her class. They both develop sound terms and end up working together. On the other hand, Noah grows close to another girl named Chloe.
The Kissing Booth 2: Ending Explained
Due to the long distance, things do not remain the same between Elle and Noah. Also because of Marco and Chloe, their relationship becomes quite strained. There is an incident where Elle finds out a female earning on Noah bed. Also while she visits his house on Thanksgiving, Chole is also present there. Due to these two instances, she doubts Noah of cheating her. On the other hand, she kisses Marco after their dance performance and Noah gets suspicious about Elle too.
Meanwhile, she also undergoes minor issues with Lee(her best friend) and his girlfriend Rachel. But Elle gets them sorted really well.
All this time, Marco was developing feelings for Elle and she ignored him after that one kiss. When he finally gets one-on-one time with her at the Kissing Booth, she realizes she still wants to be with Noah only. And Noah at the airport with Chloe also realizes that Elle is the one for him.
However, before Elle could catch Noah he leaves the airport. Chloe has a talk with Elle and clears all the air and her suspicions. Elle and Noah meet at the gazebo and share a romantic moment while reconciling their relationship.
Now, at the graduation, Elle and Lee are discussing their college admits. Lee tells her that he got into UC Berkeley but Elle says she is awaiting all her admit results.
However, This isn’t TRUE. We witness Elle open up her admit letters from both UC Berkeley and Harvard.
Thus, the movie ends on a cliffhanger about which school would she really go to. Also, this hints that there will be a third movie to this franchise ‘The Kissing Booth’.
