The Princess Switch 2 is the upcoming Netflix’s Christmas treat! This Netflix movie is ‘The Princess Switch’ sequel. The second part is titled ‘The Princess Switch: Switched Again’. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming sequel.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again- Release Date

The series’ first part premiered on Netflix on November 16th, 2018. It has been nearly two and the second part is on just around the corner. The upcoming sequel is all set to land on Netflix on November 19th, 2020.

The new sequel resides within the Netflix Christmas universe which also includes A Christmas Prince. A Christmas Prince is a trilogy of movies.

Mike Rohl will direct the new movie. He was also the first part’s director. Vanessa Hudgens will reprise her dual roles. She plays both Stacy De Novo and Lady Margaret in the movie.

Suanne Braun is also returning to portray Mrs. Donatelli. Additionally, Mark Fleischmann is also set to return as Frank De Luca.

Lachlan Nieboer (known for Charlie Countrymen) is the new cast face we will see in the sequel. He will play Antonio Rossi’s role.

Alan Ari Lazar has replaced Terry Frewer as the movie’s new composer.

The New Storyline!

Duchess Margaret unexpectedly will inherit the Montenaro’s throne. She eventually hits a rough path with Kevin. Her double Stacy will have to return and save the day. She also has to lookout for a new lookalike, party girl Fiona before she foils their plans.

The previous part also took place around Christmas. One week before Christmas, a duchess and an ordinary woman switch places with each other. They both look exactly alike. Eventually, they each fall in love with each other’s beaus.

Production Details!

The sequel is all set to land on Netflix on November 19th, 2020 globally. Unfortunately, this release date is not final yet. It was revealed by a Netflix tracking site in Brazil.

Soon after the release of the first part, Netflix announced the sequel. The second installment’s production began in late 2019 with reports continuing throughout early 2020. IMDB pro reported that the movie started filming on December 17th, 2019, and went into post-production on February 25th, 2020.

The movie was predominantly filmed in Edinburgh, Scotland. Some more filming took place down the road in Glasgow, Scotland too.

The first part was a massive hit on Netflix. It received a 6 out of 10 IMDB rating and a 75% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
