Characters in The Promised Neverland

The plot revolves around a group of orphan children who plan an escape from their orphanage after they realize a dark secret. The story is in the year 2025. Emma, an 11-year-old orphan, lives in Grace Field House, a self-contained orphanage. Thirty-seven other orphans are residing at the same place. Life was more comfortable and more straightforward with gourmet food, plush beds; clean clothes; games; and the love from their caretaker, Isabella, who they used to call “Mom.” Emma was always at the top of her class, and she had two best friends, Ray and Norman. The kids are allowed anything and everything they want but on the campus. They are forbidden to venture beyond the grounds or the gate that connects the house to the outside world.

Twist in the Storyline

The loophole in the bright, happy days of the orphans comes to sight when one of them, named Conny, is sent away to be adopted. In the meantime, Emma and Norman see that she left her stuffed toy, Little Bunny, back at the orphanage. When they try to return it to Conny, they find her dead at the gate!! The story unfolds from there, and they understand the orphanage’s truth- to be raised, eventually murdered, and sold as food to a species known as demons. Determined to run away from this abyss, Emma and Norman join hands with Ray to find the way out.

What’s in the store for season 2?

The climax of season one ended with Norman, Ray, and Emma succeeding in escaping out of the house and all of their friends. With the kids breaking free from the clasp of “Mom” and the demons that operate her, season two promises to explore the world beyond the house. The orphanage’s luxurious life did not prepare them for the outside world and the situations they may face there. It will be amusing to watch these children fight for their freedom against the outside world and off-course the demons!!
