The Real is getting a new co-host! Garcelle Beauvais is officially declared as the shows’ new co-host. Following the departure of Tamera Mowry-Housley, Beauvais will join the syndicated talk show as the co-host. Here’s everything you need to know about it!
The Real: All about Garcelle Beauvais!
The show’s seventh season is all set to land on Sept. 21. Beauvais, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Houghton are going to be the show’s main panel.
Tamera Mowry-Housley announced earlier this summer that she is going to leave the show after six seasons.
Beauvais said that she is thrilled to join the dynamic, bold, and diverse women on the award-winning talk show. She always had a love for pop culture and news. Blending it with the natural gift of gab is like a dream come true for her. She further said that she is very excited that it is happening right after ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’.
Beauvais became the first Black cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”. She joined the Bravo show recently in 2020. The actress and model are well known for her roles in “The Jamie Foxx Show” and “NYPD Blue”.
She was also seen in Marvels’ “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and the CBS All Access series “Tell Me a Story”. Additionally, she is all set to appear in the upcoming “Coming 2 America” sequel. She appeared in the first part in 1998 alongside Eddie Murphy.
So, what is the show all about?
“The Real” premiered in 2013 with Mowry-Housley, Love, Mai, Houghton, and Tamar Braxton as the main panel. Tamar departed the daytime show in 2016. Amanda Seales, the actress, and comedian took over as a co-host for a brief period of time. She joined the show in January earlier this year and departed in June.
“The Real” is a syndicated market’s rare success story. This market has not seen many hits emerging over the past decade. The daytime series revolves around a women’s panel who offers diverse perspectives on various topics. Some of the topics genres are hot topics, hot-button issues, beauty, fashion, relationships, and also their personal lives.
The show started with a test run on Fox stations in the summer of 2013. Upon receiving success in a very short time, it launched into national syndication in fall 2014.

Rachel Miskowiec, show’s executive producer said that they are thrilled to have Garcelle joining their ‘virtual’ Girl Chat Table. She further added that Garcelle’s extensive career, her insights, and her views on important topics make her perfect addition.
Telepictures Productions produces the daytime talk show. Additionally, Warner Bros are the show’s distributors. The series is already renewed till season 8.
