The first season of the series was released on Netflix on May 10, 2019, on the streaming service around the world. The second season of the series was set to make a return to Netflix after two months of waiting, all thanks to a tweet from the official Twitter account of See What’s Next.

However, according to an official statement, this decision was reversed on August 21, 2020. Netflix also revealed that they had made the difficult decision not to move forward with the second season of I Am Not Okay With This and The Society.
They added that they are disappointed to have to make these decisions due to unavoidable circumstances that are created by COVID, and they are grateful to these creators including Christy Hall, Shawn Levy, Jonathan Entwistle, Dan Cohen, Josh Barry, and Dan Levine at 21 Laps Entertainment for I Am Not Okay With This.
They are also thankful to Marc Webb, Pavlina Hatoupis, and Chris Keyser for The Society, and all the writers, cast members, and crews who worked tirelessly to make these shows for our members around the world.
