The Society: Season 2 Cancellation Is Being Reconsidered! Revival Campaign For Netflix Show!

The Society was one of the shining new lights of the drama lineup for the online streaming service providing platform, Netflix, but sadly has been one of the casualties caused due to coronavirus pandemic.

The filming was due to get back underway in the month of September of the year 2020 but is no longer the case. In this article, we will be discussing all the details that are known so far about the show.

The Society was the big teen drama of Netflix for the year 2019, just to recap, which involves some of the supernatural elements and sees a group of high school graduates head on a field trip.

Sadly, they are unable to make their way to the destination, so return home but find their town is empty. It is up to them to figure out what is going on and find a way to keep things going.

The first season of the series was released on Netflix on May 10, 2019, on the streaming service around the world. The second season of the series was set to make a return to Netflix after two months of waiting, all thanks to a tweet from the official Twitter account of See What’s Next.

In the video of the announcement of the second season that has been deleted, we saw different members of the cast speaking about the second season of the series. They gave us a few teases of what to expect, whether it was for more pie?

However, according to an official statement, this decision was reversed on August 21, 2020. Netflix also revealed that they had made the difficult decision not to move forward with the second season of I Am Not Okay With This and The Society.

They added that they are disappointed to have to make these decisions due to unavoidable circumstances that are created by COVID, and they are grateful to these creators including Christy Hall, Shawn Levy, Jonathan Entwistle, Dan Cohen, Josh Barry, and Dan Levine at 21 Laps Entertainment for I Am Not Okay With This.

They are also thankful to Marc Webb, Pavlina Hatoupis, and Chris Keyser for The Society, and all the writers, cast members, and crews who worked tirelessly to make these shows for our members around the world.
