What’s The Series All About?
The series is set in a Universe where 43 women around the world give birth simultaneously on October 1, 1989. These women gave birth even though they were not pregnant and went directly into labor. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, an eccentric billionaire, adopted seven of these children. He assembled the children made a superhero team that he calls “The Umbrella Academy.”
Hargreeves gave numbers and not names to the children. However, their robot mother, Grace gave them their names: Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Five, Ben, and Vanya. Vanya was not allowed to participate in her siblings’ activities as she had no powers of her own.
The estranged siblings come together once again at Reginald’s funeral. Five also returns from the future and warns that a global apocalypse is coming. The siblings, on the other hand, discover mysterious about their dysfunctional family. Additionally, they have a tough time getting along because of their divergent personalities and abilities.
The second season takes place right after the first one. The team failed to stop the apocalypse and so is forced to travel back in time to make things right. However, the time travel goes haywire and the team lands in 1960s Dallas.
Five ends up on November 25, 1963, in the middle of nuclear doomsday. Five soon discovers that a new apocalypse is underway and he only has ten days to prevent it. Five must find and reunite his siblings without getting killed by a trio of Swedish assassins.
Netflix has already renewed the series for a third season and fans are very excited about it. We will bring more details very soon. Until then, stay tuned and keep reading for all the latest updates!
