The Walking Dead will be finally introducing the woman behind the infamous baseball bat of Negan, and her role is played by someone who is already a part of the extended family of the show. Actress Hailey Burton, who is the real-life wife of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, will be portraying the role of Lucille, Negan’s wife, in a guest-starring role for the newly added bonus episodes of the tenth season of the series. This has been independently confirmed by EW recently.
The actress tweeted with the news on Tuesday, and it said, “Been pretty hard to keep this a secret.” She added that she loves working with @JDMorgan; she loves watching him become #Negan and take on that swagger. Also, she loves the @TheWalkingDead family. They have been a part of our family for ages, and she is so grateful for their kindness.

The Walking Dead: Hilarie Burton will be appearing as Negan’s dead wife | Know Details
In The Walking Dead comics from the writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore, Lucille suffered from the deadly disease, Cancer, before the zombie viral outbreak ravaged humanity.
Negan had been having an affair, while Lucille knew about. Eventually, he broke it off to spend as much time with his wife in her final moments. Lucille died as the outbreak struck, and, in the post-apocalyptic times, he has named his baseball bat, wrapped in barbed wire, after her.
Burton will appear in one of the six new episodes of the AMC, added to The Walking Dead season 10, which is all set to be continued in the year 2021. She is best known for her role in One Tree Hill ad has more recently appeared across Lethal Weapon, Council of Dads, and Extant.
Burton and Morgan also hosted AMC’s Friday Night in With the Morgans, which was premiered in the month of April as a half-hour video chat, which was based out of their farm in upstate New York.
AMC has recently released the once-planned Walking Dead season 10 finale in the month of October after the postproduction delays caused by COVID-19. Now, on top of adding more episodes to the season order, the network is bringing the series to a close with an expanded eleventh season of the series. However, more shows in the Dead-verse are planned.
