The West Wing reunion is officially happening now. His award-winning show’s cast will reunite with creator Aaron Sorkin for an election special on HBO Max. The series’ special is titled ‘Benefit When We All Vote’. It is all set to debut this fall. Here are the details you need to know about the reunion and the special.

The special is going to land this fall just before the presidential elections. It is in support of Michelle Obama‘s “When We All Vote” organization. The former first lady’s organization’s main aim is to raise awareness and increase participation in American elections.

Award-Winning Original Cast Will Come Together for First Time in 17 Years for a Special Staged Theatrical Presentation of “Hartsfield’s Landing” Episode

Special to Benefit When We All Vote, a Non-Profit, Nonpartisan Organization Founded by Michelle Obama to Inspire Increased Voter Participation in Every Election

Aaron Sorkin, Thomas Schlamme and Casey Patterson to Executive Produce, Schlamme to Direct

This election is going to be one of the most pivotal elections in the nation’s history. The episode will feature on a special theatrical stage presentation of the “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode from the show’s third season.

All about the Production and Landing

The show’s creators and organizers specifically arranged this episode from the political perspective. They want to raise awareness for and support the vital mission of When We All Vote. To honor the special and its cause WarnerMedia will make a donation to When We All Vote.

The shoot will happen over multiple days at the iconic Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles in early October. Stars Rob Lowe, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, and Martin Sheen will reprise their roles.

Benefit When We All Vote will also include a special message from When We All Vote co-chair Michelle Obama. Additionally, there will many other special guest appearances. The guests will be from the worlds of public service and the arts. The entire guest list will be announced soon.

Sorkin has his roots deep inside the unique stage production in the theatres. He is the playwright of acclaimed productions like A Few Good Men, The Farnsworth Invention, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

The team said that they are very excited to get the cast together again. Also, Sorkin said that is for a noble cause and he is proud to be a part of it.
