We have recently learned that the online streaming service providing platform, Netflix, will be teaming up with Marti Noxon, the producer of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer, for a brand new television series which is based on the book, The Witches of New York by Ami McKay. The plot of the series is set during the 1880s, and it is a fantasy series that is based on the novel set a hundred years after the trials in Salem. Also, we would like to inform you that the series will be following two witches who open a new tea shop when a new woman joins them as an apprentice. She begins to question the pair run the shop when she starts hearing and seeing extraordinary things and events when she suddenly disappears.
The source material of the series comes from Ami McKay, who is better known for her other books that are listed in the bestselling books, The Virgin Cure and The Birth House. It looks like that it will be filling the hole now left by the Charmed, which was removed in its entirety at the beginning of the month of October of this year. She is best known for her role as writer and producer in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but she has also had a role n other big t9i9i9tles such as Grey’s Anatomy, Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce, unREAL, and the most recent on the TV side, Sharp Objects for HBO.

The producer signed with the online streaming service providing platform in the month of November of the year 2018 for an overall output deal. All has been quiet since then, which is usually the case as the producers begin to work on projects. The deal stated that for several years, the streaming giant would be producing any series under her production company, and also, they will be having a first look at any of the feature films. To date, this is going to be here the first project in the streaming giant, which is at least announced to date.
No members of the cast of the series have been announced till yet, but according to some of the reports, Eliza Scanlen was being eyed for the role of Beatrice Dunn. The show was originally due to begin production in early Summer of this year.
