Thor: Love and Thunder is the upcoming addition to the glorious Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also, Thor as a superhero is probably one of the most iconic comic book characters of all-time. However, the genius of Stan Lee lies in the fact that the movie character adaptation hit the ground running. Few characters benefit so much from a live-action version as this otherworldly stalwart.
Tony Stark aka Iron Man and Steve Rogers aka Captain America are the only ones who actually compare to the popularity of Thor. Like the other two, Thor also has his own line of standalone movies. After a long wait, we’ll be getting our hands on the fourth movie in the series.
Although, one thing you need to know is that the principal character might of people not be Chris Hemsworth this time. Thor is a character that can be carried by lots of people. If reports are to be taken seriously, Jane might be taking on the Hammer.
When Will Thor: Love and Thunder Hit The Theatres?
For all the uncertainty surrounding the plot of Marvel movies, the release dates are pretty public. The initial announcement came from Kevin Feige on July 20, 2019, at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Also, the title of the film, “Thor: Love and Thunder” was put into the general public. At that point, the release date was November 5, 2021. However, between 2019 and 2021, we actually were facing a battle against a pandemic. And it did affect the length of the production causing multiple delays.
After a lot of speculation, Marvel finally put a date on the calendar. Thor: Love And Thunder will finally be hitting theatres on May 6, 2022 which is almost a full year of postponement.
Cast And Crew Behind Thor: Love And Thunder:-
Taika Waititi is one of the best directors for the comedic genre in the world and will be helming the project. He was also the main mind behind the tonal shift in the franchise with Ragnarok back in 2017.
The universe in the Thor saga will expand vastly with the addition of new characters from the comic books. Gorr the God Butcher and Star-Lord will be massively interesting to see in this new avenue.
While Chris Hemsworth returns as our classic hero, the focus will shift to Natalie Portman. Lots of reports are tipping the character of Jane Foster to take the center stage and become Thor herself. However, Jane has been a recurring character in the franchise but her transformation will be extremely interesting to see.
Hollywood Superstar Christian Bale is going to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that’s not the only interesting part, his character might just be a more curious part of this addition. Gorr the God Butcher is a common name to the comic book nerds and everyone is starry-eyed about the execution.
Looking at the latest reports, we can confirm that there’s a new addition to the cast. Another Hollywood Superstar, Matt Damon will also be debuting in the MCU in a role we know nothing about. His character is being kept under the wraps so ardently that one can’t help but be excited.
