The singer of the British-Irish band, The Wanted, Tom Parker, is currently undergoing radiotherapy sessions and chemotherapy treatments for an inoperable brain tumor. The 32 years old singer is going to fight this battle with his pregnant wife, Kelsey, and Aurelia, their young daughter, by his side.
Tom Parker uploaded a photo of himself with Kelsey and Aurelia and captioned the photo that,
“Hey guys, you know that they both have been quiet on social media for a few weeks, and it is time to tell you why. There is no easy way to say this, but I have sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumor, and I am already undergoing the treatment of it.” He added that they are all absolutely devastated, but they are going to fight this all the way.
They do not want the fans of them to be saddened; all they want to love and positivity, and together they will be raising awareness of this terrible disease and look for all the available treatment options.
Tom Parker: Singer Reveals Terminal Brain Tumor Diagnosis
It is going to a really tough battle, but with the love and support of everyone, Parker will be able to beat this. He was diagnosed with grade four glioblastoma over the summer following the weeks of unexplained seizures, with the doctors confirming that it is terminal. The treatment that he is undergoing currently can help shrink and control this tumor, though his wife has explained that more of it could return.
His wife explained further that more tumors would probably pop up, and he will have to go through all of this process again. He could live with this tumor for the rest of his life, where he is just having to go through this process of shrinking tumors.
Tom Parker also revealed that his Wanted bandmates, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George, Jay McGuiness, and Nathan Sykes, were very shocked to hear the news, but they have been very supportive. Jay has been round to see him a few times since they got the news and is reading up on everything he can; and Max was also there last week.
