“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is back again with a brand new episode. Netflix has yet again tried its luck with a special interactive episode of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: “Kimmy vs. the Reverend.” While the last time Netflix’s Black Mirror episode “Bandersnatch” couldn’t quite live up to its expectations as an interactive episode, this time, Netflix has proved that this idea can still work if executed well.Kimmy vs. The Reverend
What’s New? –
The viewers get to choose their adventures and live it along with the characters. Starring Ellie Kemper (Kimmy), Tituss Burgess (Titus), Carol Kane (Lillian Kaushtupperin) and Jane Krakowski (Jacqueline White) in lead roles, this particular episode is guaranteed to take you on an endless laughter ride.
If you reach to a premature ending, one character of the show will come up on the screen and inform you that you’ve done it all wrong. With one wrong ending Titus appears on the screen and says, “Who are you, me at Chipotle?” The other wrong ending has Cyndee (Sara Chase) appearing and saying, “I don’t think that was the right ending, but I don’t know. I’m not a writer. I mean, I was on staff during the last season of Game of Thrones. They did all my ideas!”
The movie will then take you a few scenes back. Select other options this time to experience what would happen if you made different choices.
Other exciting details –
The viewers will also get to see guest stars from the previous four seasons, making an appearance in Kimmy vs. The Reverend. A new addition to the cast, Danielle Radcliffe, as British royal Prince Frederick, acts as a cherry on top of the cake. Radcliffe’s portrayal legit makes this episode ‘special.’Ellie Kemper (Kimmy) and Daniel Radcliffe (Prince Frederick)
Introducing Prince Frederick as Kimmy’s new love interest was a bold move by makers. But it all turned out for the best of the show as the fans are loving the twist in the tale. Radcliffe’s incredible comic timing and dreamy eyes seem to make things work out well for this one. *wink*
Netflix premiered “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend” on May 12.
