20th Century Boys creator is working on a new anime! Know the details!
Naoki Urasawa is a big name in the universe that is anime and manga. The creations of this artist range wider than one can list. The titles 20th Century Boys, Monster, and Pluto, and so on. In a recent interview, Urasawa confirmed that he is working on a brand new anime. Urasawa creates thought-provoking characters and stories that outdo other anime and live action adaptations.
While the creator didn’t speak much on the details, we could only imagine him keeping the standards up similar to his other creations. With 20th Century Boys, the story follows a group of friends attempting to decipher the identity of a serial killer rooted in their long-time friendship. With Monster, Urasawa presented a world in which a surgeon must deal with the implications of saving the life of a man who will do nothing but leave death and destruction in his wake, leaving both the characters in the series and the audience taking in the story wondering just what the right course of action should ultimately be.
Statement from Urasawa
Naoki dropped the news regarding the new anime series but did not reveal the upcoming series’s name or plot. He said, “I’m making an anime. I hope to be able to show it to everyone soon.”
20th Century Boys and Monster
Three live-action movies were made in Japan on 20th Century Boys. A sequel named 21st Century Boys also came out. At the same time, it wasn’t the case with the Monster. An anime series was made on the same with dozens of episodes. Whether or not this new anime series will have a manga adaptation of its own is anyone’s guess, but that isn’t stopping our excitement to see what the next thought-provoking story from Urasawa will be based on his pedigree!
