Sterling K. Brown, the two time Emmy winner, will be portraying the role of Leo McGarry, the White House Chief of staff in the upcoming West Wing reunion special of the HBO Max. John Spencer was playing the role of Leo on the NBC political drama, and he even won an Emmy Award along the way until his death in the midway through the filming of the seventh and the final season of the show.

A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote, premiering on October 15, Thursday, on the streaming service, marks the first time in 17 years that the original cast of the Peabody and Emmy Award-winning drama series will be coming together, with the creator of the series Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme, the executive director/producer of the show, for a theatrical stage presentation of the Hartsfield Landing episode of the third season.

W.G. Snuffy Walden, the Emmy Award-winning composer, will be playing the role of the iconic score for the theme song of The West Wing on his guitar, while The Avett Brothers, the folk-rock band, will be closing out the special.
