Willow: Latest Updates Of The Disney+ Show

Ron Howard told Variety that the online streaming platform Disney+ still has not made a final decision on the sequel of the Howard’s 1988 Willow, a fantasy feature film as of yet. Some reports emerged last May that suggest that Howard was in talks with Jonathan Kasdan, a writer. He also said that the scripts for the project are almost complete, but a big yes from Disney+ is ye to come in their way.

He added that they are currently working on it, it has not got a green light, but he was on a phone call with the writer of the script, Jonathan, and was discussing about the same. The project is in a serious stage of development, but the makers have nothing concrete to announce yet.

It has also emerged in reports that the one who played the titular Nelwyn dwarf in the original movie, Warwick Davis, was also in discussion to reprise his role in the sequel of the series as a more matured version of the original character. Howard said that if this happens, Warwick will definitely be a part of the project. The director of Solo: A Star Wars and The Da Vinci Code Story spoke on Tuesday night on the red carpet at the Television Academy Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Los Angeles.

The introductory remarks about the 2020 class of inductees were later made by Howard. The class was made up of Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO of Walt Disney, legendary actor, Cicely Tyson, the creator of The Orville and Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, Nickelodeon, and the Co-founder of Oxygen Media Geraldine Laybourne and Jay Sandrich, the iconic sitcom director.
