It has been officially confirmed, that The Xbox Series S is going to be released and it will be released on November 10 for $299. Microsoft has confirmed the existence of the console shortly after Brad Sams leaked a high-resolution image at Thurrott. The Series S, which was previously referred to as Lockhart, is the direct successor to The Xbox One S, and is comparatively a more affordable alternative to the Xbox Series X.

It was announced by Microsoft in a tweet, that the S Series is going to be the smallest Xbox ever and the price of it was also revealed, $299. They even posted an image of the console, which clearly gave us the first look of the machine of the next generation. Microsoft released an official teaser trailer a few hours later along with the list of features and announcement of the release date of it which was November 10.
Xbox Series S Details
The very first thing that a gamer will notice in the console is the large black circular grill vent, which is located on the side of the Series S. The black grill was adding a contrast to the white console, and the strange appearance of the vent has made the gamers rush to Twitter for sharing their reactions.
Most importantly, in the image posted, you can easily witness that how much thin and compact the latest console is going to be. According to the reports from Microsoft, the Series S of Xbox is going to be 60% smaller than the Xbox Series X. If the renders of the PlayStation 5 are correct, then the massive console of Sony, will dwarf the Series S of Xbox when it arrives later this year.
Another noticeable thing in the console is that it is positioned vertically, although you can place it on the sideways too. Also, there is no disc drive provided in the console.
