Zokki: Live-Action Film Confirmed For The Manga!

Zokki manga’s new live-action film is now officially confirmed. Polygon Magic and the production company “and pictures inc.” announced the news on Wednesday. The new live-action film will be entirely based on the manga. All the characters and also storyline will be taken from that. Here’s everything you need to know about it!

Zokki: Live-Action Film Release Date!

Hiroyuki Ohashi has originally written the manga. The new live-action film is all set to land in spring 2021 in Japan. The 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival will first premiere the film. The film will be first seen at this festival. It will air at the festival from October 31 to November 9.

Additionally, the 40th Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival will screen the film. The film will air on November 5 to 22 at this festival. Actors Naoto Takenaka is directing the film. Additionally, Takayuki Yamada and Takumi Saitou are also the film’s directors. Yutaka Kuramochi is the film’s main scriptwriter.

Some of the film’s main cast includes Riho Yoshioka, Fuku Suzuki, Shinnosuke Mitsushima, Yurina Yanagi, and Sara Minami. Additionally, Masanobu Andō, Pierre Taki, Yūsaki Mori, Jō Kujō, Mai Kiryū, Kumi Koda, Takehara Pistol will also star in it. Also, Yunho, Rena Matsui, Yūtarō Watanabe, Kōji Ishizaka, Ryūhei Matsuda, and Jun Kunimura are some of the other actors.

All about the Manga!

The original manga is actually a compiled collection of some of Ohashi’s earlier short manga works. Additionally, He had previously published these short works independently. The manga has many stories and is full of humour and also pointed observations on life. It is a delight to watch and connects directly with the reader.

Kanzen debuted the manga in 2017 and published its two collected volumes. Hiroyuki Ohashi’s “ON-GAKU” manga also had an anime film. The manga was titled ‘ON-GAKU: Our Sound’.

Kenji Iwaisawa directed the anime film. The film premiered in Japan on January 11. GKIDS has licensed the film in North America. Additionally, the film was screened as part of the Japan Cuts festival on July 17.
